Handling biological agents in accordance with BioStoffV

The BioStoffV stipulates a notification or permit requirement for certain work. The obligation to notify for the handling of biological agents begins with the specific handling for risk group 2 and is directed at the respective chair/facility management.

The Office of Occupational Safety, Environmental and Health Protection supports chairs and institutions in setting up suitable workplaces and preparing the necessary application documents and in coordinating with the Arnsberg district government as the responsible supervisory authority.
