Risk assessments

The documentation of risk assessments is required by law. The Occupational, Environmental and Health Protection Department provides you with tools for documenting your risk assessments.

A risk assessment has been mandatory for every institution/department/ ... since 1996. Since July 19, 2010, a lack of documentation has been an administrative offense upon inspection by the state supervisory authorities.

The holders of management functions are responsible and accountable. As the employees know their work situation best, they should definitely be involved in the risk assessment.

Notes

The risk assessment document remains in your area. In the event of inspections and following incidents, the document may be requested by the university management, the responsible Department 7, the supervisory authority, the accident insurance institution and the investigating authorities. A risk assessment is to be understood as an improvement process. As the person responsible, you must constantly revise these sheets, especially after changes to the work process, new employees or machines. In the event of unsafe conditions that do not fall within your area of responsibility, you are obliged to report them to the responsible body, e.g. the Department of Construction and Facility Management.

Your contact person for risk assessments on psychological hazards/the satisfaction survey/management feedback is Ms. Parker in the Human Resources department.
