The variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) is very wide, just like the work activities at TU Dortmund University. First check whether technical (spatial separation) or organizational measures (temporal and spatial separation from the source of danger) can be considered before you reach for PPE.

Procurement of PPE

To ensure responsible occupational health and safety, the procurement of personal protective equipment is carried out centrally by the Office of Occupational Safety, Environmental and Health Protection. The products are issued against rebooking to the cost centers of the facilities. All products are certified in accordance with the applicable regulations and correspond to the state of the art. The latest findings on ergonomics and announcements by manufacturers and the approval authorities are taken into account. In individual cases, these are not standard, commercially available products, but special versions adapted to the needs of use at a university.
